RoAb #32 - The 'Grab Bag' Episode

Just like Tom Hanks in that movie from the ‘90s, sometimes you never know what you’re going to get.  Whether you’re a prospector panning for gold, a would-be member of high society scratching off a lottery ticket in hopes of winning big or you’re forced into an office gift exchange during the holidays, the outcome of your efforts, or luck, is never certain.  For lack of a better option, this week on RoundAbout we venture into uncharted territory with an unusually eclectic theme in our first-ever “Grab-Bag” episode.  Submitted for discussion this week, a man in the UK gets busted for drunk driving in  something ridiculous.  We find a C3 Chevy Corvette that’s received some unusual chassis work.  Plus we talk about Audi’s sexy new drop-top when we go In The Garage.  All that and more on this week’s installment of RoundAbout, The 'Grab Bag' Episode.  Enjoy!

RoAb #21 - The 'Drunk' Episode

Every week like brand-new 21-year-olds we hit up the clubs and dive bars of the internet to celebrate our freedom.  Before blacking out in a stranger’s rose bushes, we might find a few interesting things to talk about, or even a cohesive, Zen-like theme.  On the road to incapacitation we’ll ride in a Sidecar through Manhattan to grab a Long Island Iced Tea.  But we’ll have to watch out for Irish Car Bombs, relations between Black Russians and White Russians have been on the rocks.  If we can dodge the hail of 9 mms and avoid ending up like JFK, we might be able to get some Old Fashioned advice from Three Wise Men.  Thank GOD birthdays – and podcasts – only come once in a Blue Moon.  What starts out like Sex on the Beach, ends like an apocalypse with Four Horsemen.

It's like they say, you only turn 21 once, so join us as we celebrate with a bad decision or two. A New Hampshire woman racks up three DWIs in one week. Australian scientists come up with fabric technology that will resist vomit smell. And, we wake up next to an Iranian diesel and wonder what else we did last night. Plus we've got another installment of AutoGadget and Zach Bowman finally gets back into the press fleet with In the Garage.

RoAb #6 - The 'It' Episode

This week's episode ... so very NSFW. Let us get that out of the way right off the bat. Also the first episode where almost all of us were in the same place, in fact the first episode where any two of us were in the same place, so "woo-hoo" for that--but also the crux of our problem. This week's episode was intended to be couched in delicately-crafted inneundo. Turns out, though, that when you get five guys in the same building, testosterone, and thus fart-joke mentality, trumps all. Sorry Miss Motor Mouth, but Skype doesn't transmit estrogen.

And so, we look at the automotive side of "It." Russia's answer to Hummer has, among other niceties, upholstery from the, well, most delicate part of a whale. As the automotive workforce succumbs to the economic downturn, what's a GM engineer to do? Just ask George Clooney. But ladies, don't think we've left you out because you know that everyone loves a new set of Tatas. Plus, our features this week: In the Garage with a BMW X5 diesel, another Psy-car-logy as we ask the panel what their cars say about them, the Blind Spot story of the week and more!
