Yellowstone National Park is beautiful, seriously stunning, and we didn't even scratch the surface on our first day. From what little we got to see you could easily spend a month there and still not experience even a fraction of what it has to offer. Some of the natural treasures we got to witness include breath-taking vistas of the area's rugged terrain, all kinds of geysers and other geological formations bubbling, steaming and roaring with activity, and of course a small sampling of the local fauna including a bison, which admittedly from a distance looked like a pile of feces, and a mother elk with her new-born calf, an event that caused a major traffic jam on one of the park's main roads. Check out all of these photos from our Yellowstone RoAb Trip in the gallery.

Are you standing in front of molten lava, without a hand rail?
I thought same, Jim. Very flattering pic of you, Michelle. :)
Thanks, ya'll! That is bacteria mat at one of the hot springs. The colors are beautiful in all of them.
